GFiber internet offers three fiber internet options, with Core being serviceable for most people in the coverage areas. Google Fiber Core offers upload and download speeds of 1,000 Mbps for $70.00/mo.
Google Fiber Home and Edge are only available to select areas in certain cities as of mid-2025. The previously advertised 2,000 and 5,000 Mbps plans, though no longer publicly listed, may still be available to certain addresses.

Depending on which plan you select, bundling Google Fiber Core and a streaming TV plan could cost between $110.00 and $154.99/mo., making this a more economical option compared to adding a separate cable or satellite TV package.

Absolute garbage can’t watch the world cup cause they are fighting with local fox station.

Internet connection went out Thursday night. After calling customer service on Friday, then sent out a technician on Saturday morning. The tech couldn’t fix the issue and said it was something outside the house cause all the equipment inside the house was working. Said another technician would come later that day to fix the issue. Waited from 10am until 6pm, wasted the whole day…

The tech couldn’t fix the issue and said it was something outside the house cause all the equipment inside the house was working. Said another technician would come later that day to fix the issue. Waited from 10am until 6pm, wasted the whole day waiting for a technician that never showed up. Finally called them back after 6pm, irate that I’ve wasted the whole day waiting for someone that never showed up, they apologized profusely and said a technician would be out in 45 minutes. It’s now past 10:30pm and haven’t seen anyone from Google Fiber to fix the issue. I’m hoping Spectrum Cable or AT&T have better customer service. Don’t rely on Google Fiber to come fix their stuff in a prompt manner in the Kansas City area or Johnson County. Not having internet doesn’t bother me, wasting my whole day waiting for someone that doesn’t show up does. If you get Google Fiber, pray it doesn’t break cause they aren’t coming to fix it in a timely manner.

My husband had a phone call scheduled with Social Security and the call couldn’t get through because the phone isn’t working!! Do they care? No, not enough to send someone out here two days prior to this important phone call. I agree with a previous review – google fiber wants the customer to figure out the problem. Now my husband has to wait another six weeks to get another appointment with SS which will delay his benefits. Maybe g-fiber shouldn’t get paid for 2 months since THEY CAUSED THE PROBLEM. Not happy
How we scored internet providers
We evaluate broadband providers in four categories: affordability, performance, value and customer satisfaction. Each category contains multiple sub-factors, all of which are weighted differently to impact the provider’s overall score.
For each sub-factor, we score all providers on a continuous scale of 1 to 5, relative to the industry as a whole. Because the average download speed in America is currently 180 Mbps, for example, we assigned all plans with download speeds between 100 and 299 Mbps a score between 3 and 4. Xfinity’s 200 Mbps plan received a 3.50 score for download speed, while Spectrum’s 500 Mbps plan got a 3.71.
We only considered standardized data points in our scoring system. More abstract data like consistency of service and brand reputation is still part of our analysis, but we opted to let our writers address them in the context of each review.
