Among Metronet’s top cities are Aurora, Illinois; Bloomington, Indiana; Davenport, Iowa; Dayton, Ohio; Carmel, Indiana; Huntington, Indiana; Lansing, Michigan; Lexington, Kentucky; Rochester, Minnesota; and Tallahassee, Florida.

Metronet Wi-Fi fees and installation

Metronet customers can save money over other ISPs because there is no monthly equipment fee or contracts.

However, you may be subject to a price increase when the introductory period ends after the first 12 months. All plans have a $9.95/mo. to $12.95/mo. technology fee for Tech Assure, which covers any service calls or repairs to all Metronet-owned equipment.

Some promotions offer free installation, but there is generally a $75.00 fee. If you sign up for autopay, you’ll also get a $25.00 bill credit at the time of installation.

How installation works:

• Metronet schedules installations within 10 days or less from the time you order service
• The technician will perform a pre-installation one or two days before your scheduled installation date
• The “technician will attach a fiber drop and put a small box called an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) either inside or outside of your business. If your power is underground, we will place a temporary drop on the ground and it will be buried within 14 days, weather permitting”
