Astound Internet First offers low-income internet options with 50 Mbps internet for $9.95/mo. or 150 Mbps for $19.95/mo., plus three months free. The program is available to former Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) customers, participants in National Assistance Programs (Medicaid, SNAP, etc.) and students who are receiving federal student aid.

Astound fees

Modem and router rental fees run about $10.00/mo., although the fee is waived in some states. Accessing upgraded equipment to strengthen your signal can run from $5.00 to $13.00 per month if you choose to rent.

If you want to avoid monthly equipment fees that pile up over time, Astound has a Bring Your Own Modem (BYOM) policy in which you can choose to purchase your own equipment. The provider offers a guide on recommended models to choose to get the most optimal service.

You can avoid Astound installation fees by opting for a self-installation kit, but if you feel more comfortable having a professional technician complete the installation, your fee will run about $80.00.
