What do Optimum customers think?
Optimum is a cable and fiber internet provider. Optimum has lower customer satisfaction scores than most of the top ISPs in our survey, but it offers high-speed fiber plans up to 8,000 Mbps and cable plans up to 1,000. Optimum is also one of the more affordable providers, with its cable and fiber plans starting at $25.00/mo.

Optimum was easy to schedule for hookup. Technician was on time and knowledgeable. He took his time to ensure the modem was placed where we wanted it. Optimum noticed a service issue before we did and the Service tech was polite, informative and went above to ensure our service was not interrupted long and would last for the long haul. We are very satisifed.

When using Zoom there will be at least two occasions of freeze up during a one hour meeting. Some pixelation when watching streaming service.

Customer service is terrible. Trying to reach them using their voice menu is maddening. Expensive, and they keep raising their prices. They badly need competition.

They had me all day chasing them in circles, promising to reconnect me, and at the end they said it wasn’t their problem, it was “billing’s issue”. Today they were supposed to reconnect and now they won’t even answer my calls. They see it’s my number and ignore me. They don’t even deserve…
Terrible service! Optimum cut off my internet without any prior notice. They had me all day chasing them in circles, promising to reconnect me, and at the end they said it wasn’t their problem, it was “billing’s issue”. Today they were supposed to reconnect and now they won’t even answer my calls. They see it’s my number and ignore me. They don’t even deserve one star. Sadly, I have to give at least one star to post a review, but DO NOT GET OPTIMUM. Worst company, worst customer service, worst experience ever.

worst customer service ever that can ever exist! They do not listen to your concern, they tend to tangle you with short term offers and has lot of hidden fees.

Poor customer service and speed quality. The last guy I talked too literally tried to start a fight with me. I tried to cancel and he started being condescending and trying to sell me stuff. I only requested cancelation I was put on hold 3 times. I had to say if this continues I will contact attorney. Very unprofessional tier 2.

They are not reliable these people tell you one thing and do another thing they can’t be trusted they are like fucking shoplift I’m telling you I reach a point where I don’t care for optimum anymore everyone’s should done with them I can’t stand them anymore I despise them to ground they walk on one more thing customer service is the worst

Customer service is terrible. Went to sign up for service two different times at two different places and was ignored at each one even with an appointment. Don’t bother making an appointment, they will not honor it.
