What do Cox customers think?
Cox is a cable internet provider. Cox customers rate the provider above average in the price, speed and reliability categories. Cox has internet speeds from 300 – 2,000 Mbps, but prices are a bit higher than other providers unless you add a Cox mobile line to your plan, which saves you $10.00/mo.

Cox Mobile cheated me out of my trade in. They delayed my 2nd phone order, then after paying $3000 for 3 phones, they declined my ability to trade in my 2 original phones because they closed the work order on the original purchase orders without providing me a method for the trade-in.

I am disappointed with Cox Internet service. My internet connectivity is not stable and frequently drops or slows down, which has been very frustrating. The technical support experience has also been poor. Most of the representatives I have spoken with seemed to be reading from a script rather than actually troubleshooting the problem. In my opinion, many of the support staff could benefit from additional…

The technical support experience has also been poor. Most of the representatives I have spoken with seemed to be reading from a script rather than actually troubleshooting the problem. In my opinion, many of the support staff could benefit from additional training. To be fair, I have spoken with a couple of technicians who were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, those positive experiences have been the exception rather than the rule. Overall, the unreliable internet service combined with inconsistent customer support has left me dissatisfied.

The worst internet I’ve ever had in my life! Each time when I call the customer service they keep telling me that from their side all look perfect meanwhile I literally have no connection or lagging! Unfortunately, Cox is the only provider in my area otherwise I’d never deal with them!!

Since signing up for Cox a few months ago, I have had spotty service at best. I would say at least half of the time, I cannot use the Internet to do what I need. I have to resort to using my phone. Absolutely not suitable for working at home. Will have to look into cellular or satellite. Not good for living in the middle of the 5th largest city in the country. Americans should realize this is now a 3rd world country.

I feel Cox is over priced.

My Cox internet almost every day cuts out for a minute or two in the morning and the afternoon. There is no sense in calling them because by the time they pick up it is up and running. And you can’t call and complain because it’s automated.

I had a very disappointing experience with Cox Internet. Before signing up, I was clearly told I would receive 500 Mbps service for $70 per month with promotional price for 2 years. Based on that information, I agreed to the plan and completed the setup. However, after everything was installed, I checked my online account and saw that my monthly bill was actually $109, not…
I had a very disappointing experience with Cox Internet. Before signing up, I was clearly told I would receive 500 Mbps service for $70 per month with promotional price for 2 years. Based on that information, I agreed to the plan and completed the setup. However, after everything was installed, I checked my online account and saw that my monthly bill was actually $109, not $70 as promised. I immediately contacted customer service to resolve the issue, but instead of honoring what I was told, they simply said “it is what it is” and offered me the option to cancel. This experience felt misleading and frustrating. I strongly recommend that anyone considering Cox double-check all pricing details in writing before signing up to avoid unexpected charges.

Cox really sucks and they have offshored their customer support to barely literate people from India. That way they can force you to pay more for in home support.
