What do Cox customers think?
Cox is a cable internet provider. Cox customers rate the provider above average in the price, speed and reliability categories. Cox has internet speeds from 300 – 2,000 Mbps, but prices are a bit higher than other providers unless you add a Cox mobile line to your plan, which saves you $10.00/mo.

The service is fine. No complaints, except that they didn’t offer to let us install the router ourselves. They sent two men to plug it in and connect it to the tv and charged us $100 for installation.

I had a very disappointing experience with Cox Internet. Before signing up, I was clearly told I would receive 500 Mbps service for $70 per month with promotional price for 2 years. Based on that information, I agreed to the plan and completed the setup. However, after everything was installed, I checked my online account and saw that my monthly bill was actually $109, not…
I had a very disappointing experience with Cox Internet. Before signing up, I was clearly told I would receive 500 Mbps service for $70 per month with promotional price for 2 years. Based on that information, I agreed to the plan and completed the setup. However, after everything was installed, I checked my online account and saw that my monthly bill was actually $109, not $70 as promised. I immediately contacted customer service to resolve the issue, but instead of honoring what I was told, they simply said “it is what it is” and offered me the option to cancel. This experience felt misleading and frustrating. I strongly recommend that anyone considering Cox double-check all pricing details in writing before signing up to avoid unexpected charges.

Super frustrating to see my bill increase again. 30+ year customer means nothing…. I was with the customer service chat over 2 hours with no resolution except to discontinue my services. Sad….

My TV gets error messages and goes in and out constantly. This is a constant problem. Wifi is intermittent. Goes on and off daily.

Cox customer service is horrible. And I pay extra for it. We need a better option

Weeks later the set up tech comes out, and doesn’t want to do his job because it’s raining a little. He leaves, and I have to call customer service, and now we have to wait yet another week for another set up tech to come out to get us internet going. We have been without internet now for a month now!! I would definitely recommend using another provider!

Worst internet provider in Virginia. About 1/5 of the time there’s no internet at all. In just the past two weeks, I’ve experienced outages lasting two full days. Completely unreliable service—would not recommend to anyone. Never use it in VA.

Just read the other reviews. This is crap. IF there was ANY other real choice I would dump Cox in a second. I am paying for a GIG connections and am getting 30 mgb. I spent an hour arguing with chat to get a phone number so I could talk to a person. Then when I asked for compensation they transferred me to a dead line. Yep this is worth the 110 a month. There is no proactive maintenance on their infrastructure. The online tech said the in home amp needed to be disconnected……..I dont have an in home amp. So now here I get to sit for the rest of Saturday and hope a Tech can help and if not today I have to be home tomorrow so they can maybe show up. Find a different service provider.
